The Greeley Senior Activity Center is committed to providing a variety of opportunities so being active can be a way of life. Adults aged 50 and above can socialize at the center, whether through trips or while participating in one of our many programs.

We offer a wide array of clubs, sports, SilverSneakers® fitness programs, special events, holiday lunches, ice cream socials, health and safety seminars, and travel opportunities including local and international excursions, lunches with Gabbie Gourmet, sporting events, museums and more.

Staying healthy is easy with our wide array of Senior fitness programs and sports.

Classes
Classes are designed to keep your mind and body active, they range from fitness, AARP driver safety, computers, ceramics and more.
Games
Play Bingo, Scrabble, Bunco, Pitch, Pinochle, Bridge or one of our other many games!
Nutritional Lunches
We offer lunches on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:30am. During the summer months we had an evening meal on Tuesdays at 5pm. Please call 970-350-9440 in advance for reservations.
Travel Programs

Join the group and take historic tours, international & in-state overnight trips, or hike the day away.

Orientations

A monthly facility orientation will be held for SilverSneakers® participants. The orientation will provide a tour of the facility and an overview of the fitness equipment.

Greeley Senior Activity Center second Monday of each month from 9-10am.
Family FunPlex second Monday of each month from 8:30-10am.

 

SilverSneakers® Classic

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers® ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. This class can be adapted by the student depending on their fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning and intermediate skill levels. Max-20.

SilverSneakers® Yoga

Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level. Max-20.

SilverSneakers® SilverSplash®

Satisfy your aqua urge for variety! SilverSplash® offers lots of fun shallow-water movement to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required and a SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination. Max-20.

SilverSneakers® Circuit

This workout offers standing, low-impact choreography alternated with standing upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers® ball. A chair is available for support, This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level and can be adapted depending on the skilll of individual participants. Max-20.

SilverSneakers® Boom Move It®

A higher intensity dance workout class that improves cardio endurance and burns calories. Move It is all about breaking a sweat and having fun. The class focuses on cardio endurance by starting with simple dance moves then building into more complex sequences, bringing you a great cardio workout. Max-20.

SilverSneakers® Stability

Stability is the newest class designed to help you become stronger and improve balance. Movements focus on specific exercises to improve strength and power around the ankle, knee and hip joints, while improving reaction time. This class is designed for fall prevention and suitable for nearly every fitness level. It can be adapted depending on the skill of participants. A chair may be used for balance and support. Max-20.

SilverSneakers® CardioFit

Try a safe and heart-healty aerobics class to energize your active lifestyle using low-impact movements that focus specifically on building upper-body and core strength plus cardio endurance. This is a higher intensity class than Classic and Circuit. Max-20.
