The City of Greeley’s Lifeguards recently competed in the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association annual Lifeguard Games this past July and are proud to announce Greeley’s very own, Baylor Cobb was named and awarded the state’s fastest male lifeguard! Cobb enjoyed the competition but expressed that the race was a challenge. The annual games are hosted each year at Highland Hills’ Water World with a variety of endurance races and relays, as well as rescue skill challenges.

Cobb has been a lifeguard for the City of Greeley Recreation Department since 2015 and swims year round for the Greeley Loveland Swim Club as well as for Greeley West High School. He has gone to State with his High School team in the 200-yard IM, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yad butterfly, as well as some relays. Cobb continues to swim in hopes for a swimming scholarship to Norte Dame.
