What is the cost for virtual group fitness classes?

Classes are free for anyone to participate, you do not need a Greeley Recreation membership to join.

How do I sign-up for a class?

To register email [email protected]. A weekly email will be sent out with class links and information on how to log on via Zoom.

Please check junk mail or spam filters to ensure you receive the email. Adding the above email address to your contact list should help eliminate this issue.

What types of classes are you offering?

We are offering yoga, ZumbaⓇ, SilverSneakersⓇ Circuit, and HIIT & Core. View Group Fitness class schedule.

How long are the classes?

All classes are 30-45 minutes in length.

Do I need equipment for these classes?

Fitness equipment will not be necessary for class, however, you will have the ability to add resistance when you wish. If you don’t have weights or resistance tubing, you can use cans, water jugs, or even a backpack filled with books.

I’ve never used Zoom. How does it work?

Before class, we recommend visiting Zoom to familiarize yourself with the app. You can watch a quick tutorial video here.

If it is your first time, you will want to install the Zoom app on your device and create a Zoom account.

Do I need a webcam to participate in classes?

No, you are not required to have a webcam to participate. You will still be able to see and hear the instructor and other class participants on your device, but you will not be shown.

Can I get Zoom to play on my TV?

Yes, you can display Zoom on your TV or monitor by casting or mirroring your screen. It will depend on your device but you could use a mirroring app like AirPlay/Apple TV, Roku or Fire TV. You can also simply connect your computer to your TV or monitor via an HDMI cable.

When should I log on for class?

If it is your first virtual class, we recommend logging into Zoom a few minutes before class to make sure everything is working. Please arrive on time on. No entries will be permitted five minutes after the start of class.

What else do I need to know to have a great experience?

Select the Speaker View when class start so your screen is focused only on the instructor.

If you arrive early to class, feel free to chat with the instructor and participants. When the class begins, the instructor will Mute All to avoid any sound disruptions for all participations.

If you have questions during class, please use the chat box. Questions will be addressed during water or scheduled breaks.

Make sure the sound on your device is on and turned up so you can hear the instructor.

What if I have trouble logging on?

If you are experiencing trouble connecting to class, please email [email protected]. We will attempt to address your issues and get you into class. Please note that technical issues can arise on both the instructor and participant side, please be patient in each circumstance.
