February 20, 2019 (Greeley, CO) – Greeley Youth Hockey Association invites children to the Greeley Ice Haus on Saturday, February 23 for a ‘Try Hockey For Free’ clinic as part of Hockey Week across America. Starting at 1:45pm local youth, ages 4 to 9, are encouraged to experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basic skills in a fun, safe environment. Read more.
February 19, 2019 (Greeley, CO) – The City of Greeley is proud to welcome international soccer coach Garry Guyan to the Greeley Recreation Youth Soccer Program in 2019. February 6, 2019 (Greeley, CO) – The Rodarte Community Center, part of the City of Greeley’s Culture, Parks and Recreation Department, is gearing up for their Fun in the Spring and Summer camp programs. These camp sessions are designed to provide a broad range of activities such as STEM, arts & crafts and recreational programs, as well as field trips, engaging students and getting them involved in different projects while they are on vacation from school. Registration will begin Feb 4 for Fun in the Spring, which will be offered March 11-15. Fun in the Sun early registration for those with a financial need will be open March 4-31. January 29, 2018 (Greeley, CO) – The Denver Nuggets Skills Challenge was January 19 at the Greeley Recreation Center and 43 participants attended the event. Both boys and girls competed in three different skill challenges: dribbling, passing and shooting. The first place winners from each age group will compete at Sectionals on February 10 at the Foothills Activity Center in Fort Collins. Read more.
January 18, 2019 (Greeley, CO) – The annual Father Daughter Dance at the Greeley Recreation Center is right around the corner. The event this year is Friday, January 25 & Saturday, January 26 and offers three different times for fathers to treat their favorite girl to some quality time together. Dr. Marcus Button, a family practice physician from Canyon City, plans to make the 175 mile trek again to bring his 9 year old daughter. A trip he’s made each year over the last five years! January 14, 2019 (Greeley, CO) – The Greeley Ice Haus is hosting the annual American Girl Doll Skate with a Boho Bash theme this year. The event is from 12-2pm on Saturday, January 19. Crowds of little girls will arrive at the Ice Haus to skate with their American Girl dolls, some dressed alike, enjoying an afternoon of fun with friends. The event includes free ice skating lessons, face painting and God’s Eye crafts. Girls that attend will be entered into drawing for a chance to win the 2019 American Girl Doll of the year…Blaire Wilson…a $115 value! Read more.
November 9, 2018 (Greeley, CO) – On Saturday, October 27 there was a full house at the Rodarte Community Center for the Put ‘em Up boxing smoker. Over 300 people purchased tickets to the event to see the Hard Knocks Boxing Club compete in their annual event. Roughly 30 matches took place with three of the Rodarte Boxers participating and won winning their bout. Read more.
October 23, 2018 (Greeley, CO) – The Hard Knocks Boxing Club will be hosting their annual boxing smoker Put ‘em Up at the Rodarte Community Center on Saturday, October 27. Three boxers who are part of the City of Greeley’s Hard Knocks Boxing Club will be competing in the event: Kaleb Dutrow (102 lb.), Angel Arredondo (Heavy Weight) and Josiah Herrera (136 lb.). Roughly 30 bouts will take place with participants coming from Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas and Texas. The event is sanctioned by USA Boxing and sponsored by the Danny Juarez Foundation. Read more.
