City of Greeley officials will reopen the Greeley Ice Haus, 900 8th Ave. on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020.

The Ice Haus is uniquely situated to offer public skating sessions, programs, and community engagement, all
while following CDC and social distancing guidelines. The Ice Haus is also home to the Northern Colorado
Eagles, UNC Club Hockey, Greeley Youth Hockey Association, Mountain View Skating Club, and the
Greeley Growlers.

Due to constraints related to COVID-19, many City facilities have limited recreational spaces available. The
Ice Haus offers a safe and accommodating environment for youth and adults to recreate but with additional
COVID-19 related limitations. In addition, the Ice Haus continues to provide new and innovative experiences
for the users, including a new off-ice training area featuring a synthetic ice shooting enclosure.
Facility Operations and Restrictions

The Ice Haus opens with limited hours and provides public skating, figure/freestyle, drop-in hockey, and stick
& puck times to sign up for in advance. Public skate sessions have a maximum capacity of 35 skaters, and all
other activities have a maximum of 25. Skaters may register for sessions on, GreeleyIceHaus.com.

Priority is granted to visitors who pre-register online. Walk-in customers may skate in sessions with available
capacity. If fully booked, a 15-minute wait period occurs before walk-in skaters participate. Any pre-registered
users who do not show up within 15 minutes of the start of a session forfeit the reservation. At the end of the
timed block, all members and guests must leave the premises immediately.

Masks are required on and off the ice. Staff asks that visitors come dressed in appropriate attire for their
activity. Locker rooms are closed except for leagues and hockey rentals. The facility offers minimal storage
for personal items. Skates and skate trainers are available for rent. No other equipment is provided.
No spectators are allowed in the Ice Haus at any time. Parents and guardians, please plan to skate during the
on-ice activity or drop off skaters if not participating.

A 30-minute cleaning session immediately follows all of the timed blocks. Staff cleans equipment, contact
surfaces, and high traffic areas with disinfectant. Officials encourage visitors to use the hand sanitizer stations
available in the facility.
