Our Remodel Project is Complete

- All gender/family changing rooms include dedicated lockers and separate access.

The Greeley Recreation Center is a full-service community center with a fitness room, racquetball courts, an indoor pool, a climbing wall, two gymnasiums, and rooms to rent for parties, banquets, and special events. Community programming for both adults and youth is also offered.
Lifeguard Training Course

We offer lifeguard training certification courses on a regular basis. Choose the date that is right for you. These sessions include a combination of blended learning. Some content must be completed online previous to class start date. Information will be emailed out to participants one week in advance.
Age 15+. Min-6, Max-15.
Prerequisite testing occurs on the first date listed, prior to the three-day training, to ensure a student is able to meet requirements. If you do not pass, staff will work with you to improve skills. However, there will be a $50 non-refundable fee charged if student is unable to pass prior to taking the full course. Information will be emailed out to participants one week in advance.
The following are new prerequisites that each swimmer will complete on the first day of class to move on with certification:
- Jump in, submerge, resurface and swim 150 yards using front crawl or breaststroke or combination of both (swimming on back or side is not permitted, swim goggles are allowed).
- Maintain position at the surface of the pool for 2 minutes by treading water using only legs.
- Swim 50 yards using a front crawl, breaststroke or combination of both.
- Complete the following timed event within 1 min 40 seconds, goggles are NOT allowed:
- Start in the water, swim 20-yards – face in or out of the water.
- Surface dive, feet-first or head-first, to a depth of 7-10’ to retrieve a 10-pound object.
- Return to the surface and swim 20-yards on the back to return to starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping the face at or near the surface of the pool.
- Exit water without using the ladder or steps.

Water Safety Instructor (WSI™) Course
November 22-24 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Registration Deadline: November 12
The Water Safety Instructor course, also known as WSI™, trains instructor candidates to teach the fundamentals of all the courses presented in the Swimming and Water Safety program to all age groups. These include the following Learn-to-swim courses: Parent and Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, Learn-to-Swim Levels 1-6, and Adult Swim. This certification is the gold standard and provides the most comprehensive training for swim instructors. Age: 16+. No prerequisites are required.
Fee: $195 resident, $205 non-resident
