The City of Greeley recreation officials will make some enticing operational changes at the Greeley Recreation Center and Family FunPlex beginning Saturday, May 29, and at the Greeley Ice Haus, starting Tuesday, June 1, by eliminating most reservations.
Starting those dates, customers will no longer need to register in advance for a 90-minute time slot to visit, except for lap swim and water walking and group fitness classes at the Recreation Center and FunPlex; and Stick & Puck or Drop-in Hockey at the Ice Haus.
Just in time for summer, open swim will resume daily from noon to 5 p.m. at the FunPlex, and lockers will become available for use. Child care will, however, remain closed. Removing reservations will allow more flexibility for workouts and drop-in activities, offering customers the ability to enjoy all the amenities. Both facilities will be expanding their lap swim hours and the maximum number of people allowed to attend group fitness classes.
All recreation staff will continue to regularly sanitize rooms and equipment throughout the day, and conduct a thorough cleaning each evening of each facility after closing. Officials request that customers maintain 6 feet of social distancing in city facilities. Face masks are strongly recommended.
Greeley Recreation will be offering quarterly and annual memberships in addition to the monthly membership option. Members benefit from access to both facilities and free fitness classes. Join today by stopping by the guest services desk at either the Family FunPlex (1501 65th Avenue) or Greeley Recreation Center (651 10th Avenue) to enjoy a summer of fun for the whole family.
