The City of Greeley’s Culture, Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce a new face to the Recreation Division! When it came time to refresh the Recreation brand, it was important that all aspects of the project remained true to Greeley’s natural beauty, energy and community.
This new look catches your attention with our bright, bold colors! The custom blue was designed with the Colorado skies in mind and the vibrant yellow was a reference to the plains’ amber waves of grain. They meet in the middle to create a classic green “play button,” inspiring all to get up and move! The new Recreation symbol is placed front and center of the new look, an easily-recognized design that represents the entire feeling of the brand.
The department hired Tommy Dyer, a Northern Colorado graphic designer, for the big project. Dyer, a freelance designer, said that the biggest challenge of this design was making sure the
logo reflected the community, “By creating something that encompasses everything Recreation has to offer—so much more than sports programming or a gym…appealing to all ages.”
We hope the community is excited about bringing Greeley Recreation into the future.
