Adult

Winter Session II League 2024

The City of Greeley Recreation offers an adult basketball league with 2 divisions.
Each team will be guaranteed 6 games, with a 1 game guaranteed playoff game.
Players are only allowed to play on one team per Division.

Game times and schedule will be on TeamSideline.
Schedules for the entire season will be released a week before the season starts.

League Play Begins: Monday, January 8, 2024

AIR Unified Basketball

AIR Unified basketball will have the opportunity compete in local and state Special Olympics competitions. Unified teams are made up of players with intellectual or developmental disabilities and those without.

General Registration: November 21 – January 6

Divisions

Individual Skills
This is for anyone at any skill level that would like to develop and work on basketball skills but doesn’t want to/can’t participate in the contact game aspect of basketball. Athletes are still able to participate in Special Olympics Competitions in the “All-Star Skills Challenge.”

Ages:16+
Practice Day & Time: Mondays, 6:45-7:30 p.m.

Competitive Level 1 & 2
Fast paced game. Athletes have a good understanding of the game, basketball skills, and offensive and defensive concepts.

Program Starts: January 10
Program Ends: Week of March 15

Ages: 16+
Practice Time: 6:45-8 p.m.
Practice Days: Wednesdays and select Fridays: January 12 and 26, February 9 and 23, March 8

Location: Rodarte Community Center Gym
Fee: $30

 

Competitive Level 3 & 4
Slower paced game. Athletes, still learning the game with the support of partners. Learning how to dribble, pass, and shoot as well as offensive and defensive concepts.

Program Starts: January 8*
Program Ends: March 15
*no practice January 15 and February 19

Ages: 16+
Practice Time: 6:45-8 p.m.
Practice Day: Mondays and select Fridays: January 19, February 2 and 16, March 1 and 15

Winter Session II 2024

Jr. Nuggets U10-U12 Basketball League (Birth years 2012-2015)

League play includes two (2) practices per week at various city and school district facilities, and five (5) Saturday games at the downtown Greeley Recreation Center and University Schools beginning January 8.

U09-U10 leagues are open for youth born in 2014-2015, U11-U12 leagues are open for youth born in 2012-2013.

Registration fees also include one (1) NBA Nuggets Game ticket and a reversible Jr. Nuggets gameday jersey (size is requested during registration process and cannot be changed after registration closes). 

All teams will be led by volunteer coaches.

Please remember all Greeley Recreation programs are to provide children with a developmental opportunity in sports. Although score is kept wins and losses are not the top priority of our leagues. Help us create a safe and healthy environment for players, officials, and coaches. Please review our Youth Sports Philosophy and Code of Ethics prior to registering to know if this is the league for you.

CARA Basketball Skills Challenge

January 13 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Take your basketball skills to the next level and compete against other boys and girls in passing, shooting, and dribbling. Top scorers will move on to sectionals from February 1 – March 31 and compete for a spot in the state competition in April.

Youth ages 6-13 as of April 30, 2024, are eligible to participate.

Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) Basketball

All Levels
This is for players ages 8-15 at any skill level who want to compete with the team at regional and state Special Olympics competitions. All players with and without disabilities welcome.

If you don’t want to compete as a team and want basketball skills, see program “AIR Basketball Clinics.”

AIR Basketball Clinics

Join Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) for six-weeks of basketball skills. Clinics are inclusive and designed for youth with disabilities in mind. These clinics will focus on the fundamentals of basketball. Max-10.

Registration can be done in person at Greeley Recreation Center, Family FunPlex, or online.
