Fall 2023

Unified Adult Flag Football

“UNIFIED” – is a sports team that is made up of players with and without disabilities. These teams/leagues may work with rule additions and changes that support all players. Teams are made up of “athletes” and “partners.”

Athlete: A player on a unified team with a disability.
Partner: A player on a unified team without a disability.

Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) partners with the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Unified Club for Unified Adult Flag Football.

Fall 2023

Co-Ed Flag Football Leagues

The flag football league is offered for girls and boys born in 2010-2017. Players enjoy the fast-paced nature of football in a non-contact environment. USA Football is the national governing body of the sport and the official youth football partner of the NFL. Players will receive an NFL team reversible jersey and an official NFL Flag belt included with their registration costs. Participants can practice Mon/Wed, or Tue/Thu at a City of Greeley Park of their choice. Game schedules will be released during the first week of practices and take place on Saturdays. Teams are guaranteed 5 games. NFL team names will be assigned randomly after registration closes.

  • Mouth Guard
  • Rubber cleats or athletic shoes
  • Shorts or pants without pockets

Provided equipment for all participants: 

  • Jersey included
  • Flags included
  • Coaches bag (footballs, cones provided to each coach)

Co-Ed Flag Football Clinics

Flag football clinics are coming to the Greeley Rec! These clinics will allow young athletes to practice and develop their flag football skills. Sessions will be led by paid Greeley Recreation instructors.

Athletes will be introduced to flag football in this fun clinic to develop fundamental skills with footwork, throwing, catching, route running, and play development on offense and defense. Join us as we look to grow this fast-paced nature of football in a non-contact environment! Clinics are 5 weeks. Min-20.

Registration: June 26 – Friday before clinic or until filled (Register by phone, in person at Greeley Recreation Center, Family FunPlex, or online)

Session Dates: September 11 – October 5*
*Make-up session will be scheduled for October 9 or 12 if necessary

She Can Flag Football Clinic

For new or experienced flag football players. AIR Flag Football Clinic

Join Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) for six weeks of flag football skills. Clinics are inclusive and designed for youth with disabilities in mind. These clinics will focus on the fundamentals of flag football and teamwork. We will practice Mondays at Coyote Run Park.
