Greeley Recreation has established a unique partnership with Youth for Christ and The Refuge to offer both skateboarding lessons and leagues beginning in the spring of 2021. Area youth ages 8-16 will be able to learn how to skateboard in the lessons or practice and compete in the league. All ability levels are welcome in both programs! Greeley has two outdoor skateboard parks (located at Centennial Park on 23rd Ave & the 3rd St Plaza located just outside The Refuge on 11th Ave), and with the growing popularity of the sport, recreation staff wanted to offer youth a way to learn the sport. Participants will have the ability to learn techniques to skateboard successfully and develop the skills needed to compete for those interested in that level of play.
