The City of Greeley youth soccer program is filled with development opportunities for ages 4-11! We now offer year round soccer opportunities in addition to our classic Fall and Spring soccer Leagues. Spring Youth Soccer 2022

This Spring, the City of Greeley Recreation team has aligned our league around the US Soccer Federation development initiatives, which is designed to maximize engagement, encourage skill development and provide a platform for developing friendships and community. We have 7 divisions open for registration:

Lil Kickers for birth years 2017
6U Co-Ed for birth year 2016
8U Boys birth years 2014 and 2015
8U Girls for birth years 2014 and 2015
10U Boys birth years 2012 and 2013
10U Girls for birth years 2012 and 2013
Unified Soccer Clinic

Coaches’ Priority Registration January 24-30
General Registration January 31 – February 21 (Registration can be done in person at Greeley Recreation Center, Family FunPlex, or online at http://mygreeleyrec.com)

Equipment Required (responsibility of participant):

  1. Youth Sports Jersey, $14, can be purchased at Family FunPlex or Greeley Rec Center. (Same jerseys as previous seasons, so if your child’s jersey still fits, reuse it!)
  2. Shin Guards – Must be worn for all practices and games
  3. Shoes – Tennis shoes or rubber cleats
  4. Soccer socks of any color
  5. Preferred (not required) – participant to bring their own ball

Equipment Provided:

  1. Practice and game space
  2. Officials
  3. Coaches equipment – cones, soccer balls, pennies

 

Lil’ Kickers Soccer

Lil’ Kickers Soccer is an introduction league for participants with a 2017 birth year. Lil’ Kickers uses a 3v3 format of play, and games are two 10-minute halves to maximize engagement. Participants will have a Monday practice/Wednesday game schedule, or Tuesday practice/Thursday game schedule with choice of practice location either at Monfort Park or Balsam Park. *Games could take place at either location no matter what practice location you choose. Game times may vary from scheduled practice times.*

4 game season, 4 game guarantee
Practice begins: Week of March 21, 2022
Games begin: Week of March 28, 2022
Fee: $35 resident, $45 non-resident

6U Co-Ed Soccer – Birth Year 2016

6U Co-Ed Soccer is an introduction league for participants with a 2016 birth year. 6U uses a 4v4 format of play, and games are three 10-minute periods to maximize engagement. Participants will have a Tuesday practice and Thursday game schedule, with choice of location either at Monfort Park or Balsam Fields. *Games could take place at either location no matter what practice location you choose. Game times may vary from scheduled practice times*.

Games begin: Week of March 28, 2022
Fee: $45 resident, $55 non-resident

8U Boys & Girls 2014 and 2015 Soccer

8U Boys and Girls Soccer is an introductory league for participants with a birth year of 2014 or 2015. We will have both a boys and girls division. This league will be a 4v4 format of play, and games are four 10-minute quarters to maximize engagement. Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, with choice of practice location at Sanborn Park, Balsam Park, or Monfort Park. *Games will be held on Saturdays and could take place at either location no matter what practice location you choose.*

10U Boys and Girls Soccer Birth Years 2012 and 2013

10U Boys and Girls Soccer is an introductory league for participants with a birth year of 2012 or 2013. We will have both a boys and girls division. Games will be played in a 7v7 format with goal keepers, and will be played in two 25-minute halves with a 10 minute halftime. Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, with choice of practice location either at Balsam Field or Monfort Park. *Games will be held on Saturdays and could take place at either location no matter what practice location you choose.*

AIR Soccer

AIR Soccer Clinics

Join Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) for six-weeks of soccer skills clinics! Designed for youth participants with or without disabilities. Clinics are designed for various ages and abilities. These clinics will serve as an introduction to the sport of soccer, skill development, and teamwork. Through these clinics, you can expect to experience soccer in a positive learning environment that is designed to best meet the needs of your athlete. Clinics will be held one day of the week at Monfort Park from 4-4:45 p.m.

Adult Unified Soccer

Join Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) for soccer practices as we prepare for the local Special Olympics Competition. During practice introduce and expand knowledge of soccer, work on skill development, and teamwork. You can expect to experience the sport of soccer in a positive learning environment that is designed to best meet the needs of the athlete
