We now offer year-round soccer opportunities in addition to our classic Fall and Spring soccer Leagues. Adult

Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) Unified Soccer

Unified Adult Soccer will practice Monday Nights. If team numbers allow, we will participate in the Regional Special Olympics Tournament in Denver.

Unified Programs

“UNIFIED” – is a sports team that is made up of players with and without disabilities. These teams/leagues may work with rule additions and changes that support all players. Teams are made up of “athletes” and “partners.”

Athlete: A player on a unified team with a disability.
Partner: A player on a unified team without a disability.

Fall 2024

The City of Greeley Youth Sports team has aligned our recreational soccer leagues to the US Soccer Federation development initiatives. Our league models are designed to maximize engagement, encourage skill development, and provide a platform for developing friendships and community.

All teams are volunteer led.

Registration

Priority Registration: June 24-28
Please complete the priority registration roster form to register.

If you meet the following criteria, you are eligible for priority registration:

  • Volunteer Coach
  • Coach registering an entire team
  • Family registering 3 or more family members

General Registration: July 1-28
$10 late fee on registrations beginning July 29 – August 16
(Register by phone, in person at Greeley Recreation Center, Family FunPlex, or online)

Practice & Games

Practices are located throughout Greeley at various City of Greeley parks.

Lil’ Kickers’ league includes 4 games. All other leagues have 5 games guarantee.

Equipment  

Required (responsibility of participant): 

  • Greeley Recreation youth sports jersey, $14, can be purchased at Family FunPlex or Greeley Recreation Center.
  • Jerseys are the same as the previous season, so if your child’s jersey still fits, reuse it!
  • Shin Guards – must be worn for all practices and games. 
  • Shoes – athletic shoes or rubber cleats (cleats recommended for all ages over 6). 
  • Soccer socks of any color.
  • Preferred (not required) – Participants to bring their own ball (size indicated with each age division specifics below).

*Coaches will be provided with cones, soccer balls, and practice pennies

Games will be at Monfort Park, regardless of your practice location. Game times will vary from practice time.

Lil’ Kickers U5 Co-Ed Soccer (Birth Year 2020)

Lil’ Kickers Soccer is an introductory league for participants born in 2020. Lil’ Kickers uses a 3v3 format of play, and games are two 12-minute halves. Min-4, Max-6.

You can elect one of the two league schedule options:

  1. Monday practice/Wednesday game or
  2. Tuesday practice/Saturday game schedule

Practice begins: Week of August 26
Games begin: Week of September 2
Ball size: #3
Game Guarantee: 4

 

U6 Co-Ed Soccer (Birth Year 2019)

U6 Co-Ed Soccer is an introductory league for participants born in 2019. U6 Co-Ed uses a 4v4 format of play, and games are two 15-minute halves. Min-4, Max-8.

    Monday practice/Wednesday game or
  2. Tuesday practice/Saturday game.

Practice begins: Week of August 26
Games begin: Week of September 2
Ball size: #3
Game Guarantee: 5
Double headers will be scheduled in case of an odd number of teams or weather cancellations.

 

U7 Girls and Boys Soccer (Birth Year 2018)

The U7 Boys or Girls Soccer divisions are an opportunity for recreational soccer for youth born in 2018. This league will be a 4v4 format of play, and games are two 20-minute halves. Min-5, Max-8.

  2. Tuesday/Thursday at various locations.

A half field and one standard size goal are included at minimum at all offered practice locations.

High School Girls Soccer Fall League

City of Greeley is offering a high school girls’ soccer league. Games will be 2×20 minute halves, played 3v3 with no goalkeepers. Min-4, Max-8.

Clinics are once a week opportunity for skill building and game play. All clinics are coed and led by Greeley Recreation youth sports team clinicians.
