The City of Greeley Recreation’s youth soccer league is filled with developmental opportunities for ages 3-9! Select from one of the 6 divisions below to find the best fit for your child. Finding your division is now even easier with birth year registration. Along with US soccer federations following birth year registration this will make a smoother transition for your child from recreation to more competitive leagues should they want to continue to play.

Fall Youth Soccer

This Fall the City of Greeley Recreation team has aligned our league around the US Soccer Federation development initiatives which is designed to maximize engagement, encourage skill development and provide a platform for developing friendships and community. We have 6 divisions open for registration:

  • Lil Kickers for birth years 2017
  • U6 Co-Ed for birth year 2016
  • Boys U8 for birth years 2014 and 2015
  • Girls U8 for birth years 2014 and 2015
  • Boys U10 for birth years 2012 and 2013
  • Girls U10 for birth years 2012 and 2013
  • Unified Soccer Team

Coaches’ Priority Registration July 6-12 (for players whose parents coach). Head coach receives 1 free child registration as a thank you for coaching!

General Registration begins July 12-August 2 online at MyGreeleyRec.com. Registration also available at the Family FunPlex and Greeley Recreation Center during regular business hours at the front desk or via phone.

Coaches Meetings:

  • Lil Kickers – August 17 at 7 p.m.
  • U6 Co-Ed – August 19 at 7 p.m.
  • U8 Boys and Girls – August 17 at 7 p.m.
  • U10 Boys and Girls – August 18 at 7 p.m.

Equipment Required (responsibility of participant)

  1. Youth Sports Jersey $14 can be purchased at FunPlex or Greeley Rec Center. Jerseys are reversible white and blue. Also the same jersey used for T-ball
  2. Shin Guards – Shin guards must be worn for all games
  3. Shoes – Tennis shoes or rubber cleats accepted
  4. Soccer socks of any color
  5. Preferred (not required) participant to bring their own ball

Equipment Provided for the team

  1. Practice and game space
  2. Officials
  3. Coaches equipment- cones, soccer balls, pennies

 

Lil’ Kickers Soccer

Lil Kickers Soccer is an introduction league for participants age 3 or 4 years old (2017) with a 3 v 3 format of play and 2 halves of 10 min periods to maximize engagement. Participants will have a Tuesday practice and Thursday game schedule with choice of practice location either at Monfort Park or Balsam Fields. Games could take place at either location no matter what practice location you choose. Game times may vary from scheduled practice times.

Division Birth Year 2017

5 game season, 4 game guarantee
Practice begins August 31
Games begin September 9
Fee: $56 resident, $66 non-resident

U6 Co-Ed Soccer

U6 Soccer is an introduction league for participants age 4 or 5 years old (2016 Birth Year) with a 4 v 4 format of play and 3 periods of 10 min periods to maximize engagement. Participants will have a Tuesday practice and Thursday game schedule with choice of location either at Monfort Park or Balsam Fields. Games could take place at either location no matter what practice location you choose. Game times may vary from scheduled practice times.

Division Birth Year 2016

5 game season, 4 game guarantee
Practice begins August 31
Games begin September 9
Fee: $56 resident, $66 non-resident

U8 Soccer

U8 soccer division is an introductory league for participants born in the birth year of 2014 or 2015. We will have both a boys and girls division. This league will be a 4v4 format of play with game times of 4 quarters of 10 minutes with a 5 minute break between quarters to maximize attention and engagement. Participants can choose to have practice at Balsam fields or Monfort park for a Monday & Wednesday practice schedule with games on Saturdays. Games could take place at either location no matter what practice location you choose.

7 Game Season, 5 game guarantee
Practice begins August 30
Games begin September 11
Fee: $69 resident, $79 non-resident

U10 Soccer

We will have both a boys and girls U10 division for athletes born with the birth year 2012 or 2013. Games will be played in a 7v7 format with goal keepers for two halves of 25 minutes with a 10 minute halftime. Practices will be held on Monday’s and Wednesday with choice of practice location either at Balsam Field or Monfort Park. Games will be held on Saturdays and could take place at either location no matter what practice location you choose.

Unified Soccer Team

 

Join our Co-Ed unified team! This team is designed for participants with or without disabilities. We will practice Monday’s at Monfort park from 4:00-4:45pm and play integrated scrimmages Wednesdays. Scrimmages will be made up of three 10 minutes quarters with a 5 minute break between quarters to maximize attention and engagement.
