We now offer year-round soccer opportunities in addition to our classic Fall and Spring soccer Leagues. Spring 2023

The City of Greeley Recreation team has aligned our league around the US Soccer Federation development initiatives, which is designed to maximize engagement, encourage skill development, and provide a platform for developing friendships and community. We have 7 divisions open for registration. Look at the chart below to find the appropriate leagues for your young athlete (For the 2022-2023 Fall and Spring seasons).

Practice & Games

Practices are located throughout Greeley at various City of Greeley parks. All games will be held at Monfort Park. Lil’ Kickers includes a 4 Game Guarantee. All other leagues have a 5 Game Guarantee.

*Please note that game times will vary from your scheduled practice time.

Registration

Coaches’ Priority Registration January 23-29
General Registration: January 30 (Registration can be done in person at Greeley Recreation Center, Family FunPlex, or online at http://mygreeleyrec.com)
Registration Deadline: February 20 

Season: March 20 – April 29 (Lil’ Kickers)
All other leagues: March 20 – May 6
 

Equipment  

Required (responsibility of participant): 

  • Greeley Rec Youth Sports Jersey, $14, can be purchased at Family FunPlex or Greeley Rec Center.
  • Jerseys are the same as previous seasons, so if your child’s jersey still fits, reuse it!
  • Shin Guards – must be worn for all practices and games. 
  • Shoes – tennis shoes or rubber cleats. 
  • Soccer socks of any color.
  • Preferred (not required) – participant to bring their own ball (size indicated with each age division specifics below).

*coaches will be provided with cones, soccer balls, and practice pennies

Lil’ Kickers Soccer (Birth year 2018)

Lil’ Kickers Soccer is an introduction league for participants with a 2018 birth year. Lil’ Kickers uses a 3v3 format of play, and games are two 12-minute halves. Participants will have a Monday practice/ Wednesday game schedule, or Tuesday practice/ Saturday game schedule with various practice locations. Games will be at Monfort no matter what your practice location is. Game times will vary from practice time
Practice begins: Week of March 20
Game Guarantee: 4

 

Coed Soccer (Birth year 2017)

2017 Birth Year division is an introduction soccer league for participants with a 2017 birth year. 6U uses a 4v4 format of play, and games are two 15-minute halves. Participants will have a Monday practice/ Wednesday game schedule or Tuesday practice/ Thursday game schedule, with practices on the first day of the week at various locations, and games on the second day of the week at Monfort Park. Game times will vary from practice time.
Practice begins: Week of March 20
Game Guarantee: 4

 

Girls and Boys Soccer (Birth years 2015-2016)

2015/2016 Birth Year division is an introductory soccer league for participants with a birth year of 2015 or 2016. We will have both a boys and girls division. This league will be a 4v4 format of play, and games are two 20-minute halves. Practices will be held on Monday/ Wednesday or Tuesday/ Thursday at various city locations. Games will be held on Saturdays at Monfort Park no matter what practice location you choose.
Practice begins: Week of March 20
Game Guarantee: 5

 

Boys and Girls Soccer (Birth years 2013-2014)

2013/2014 birth year divisions is an introductory league for participants with a birth year of 2013 and 2014. We will have both a boys and girls division. Games will be played in a 7v7 format with goal keepers and will be played in two 25-minute halves. Practices will be held on Monday/ Wednesday or Tuesday/ Thursday at various city locations. Games will be held on Saturdays at Monfort Park no matter what practice location you choose.
Practice begins: Week of March 20
Game Guarantee: 5

Games will be held on Saturdays at Monfort Park.
