Summer Scholars Program

The STEM Summer Scholars program is a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) initiative to serve middle school students (ages 11-14) at the Rodarte Community Center by collaborating with the University of Northern Colorado. This program is project-based; participants work closely together in hands-on problem-solving. Special field trips are planned related to the area of focus. Participants will also have the opportunity to participate in LEGO Mindstorm Robotics and 3D printing. This is an intro to basic programming and problem-solving strategies.

The STEM Summer Scholars Program is a 6-week program that meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. Until noon. It is free to attend. The 2021 session begins on May 24 and ends on July 1.

United Way of Weld County generously funds this program.
