Beginning Monday, Jan. 18, the City of Greeley Recreation will offer free virtual group fitness classes. These 45-minute-or-less classes delivered via Zoom allow users to participate from their homes. Greeley Recreation will offer these classes in addition to the current in-person group fitness schedule but will not require a Greeley Recreation membership allowing anyone in the community to participate.
Participants can access a variety of cardio and strength training classes taught by Greeley Recreation certified instructors. Popular classes include yoga, Zumba®, SilverSneakers® Circuit, and more. Greeley Recreation officials recognize the toll COVID-19 has taken on the community. Now more than ever, people want a way to stay connected in a safe environment. Greeley Recreation officials want to provide ways for the community to engage in behaviors that will benefit them physically and emotionally. By offering a free service to the community, Greeley Recreation officials hope that they can provide health and fitness opportunities at people’s fingertips with little to no barriers. While capacity restrictions, limited in-person programming, and physical distancing measures remain in place, Greeley Recreation officials hope to bring high-quality options directly to its community safely and effectively.

City of Greeley Recreation facilities remains open, offering in-person group exercise classes to members throughout the week, including lap swimming and water walking, and drop-in activities such as pickleball and volleyball. To keep all members and staff safe, Greeley Recreation limits its capacity to comply with state and local mandates and requires a reservation to utilize a facility. Greeley Recreation officials also increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing and require face coverings while indoors.
